NPC: Old Benji

Old Benji

• Ate the tainted fish, has scaley patches of skin, the rest is cracked and sickly looking.
• will rant and rave about the true gods of old coming back
  • basically an old truther
• rejects spirits and yo-kai as false gods
• dreams of eldrich horrors and a siren who sings him songs
  • the old ones will swallow up the seas and lands and trees and anything etc
  • ascensions to new truth
  • use male and female pronouns when referring to this entity as aboliths are herms
  • the old gods will reshape the earth in their image
  • the eternal student will bring about the new age

any attempts to persurade, intimidate, or interact will result in ad nauseum ramblings

DO NOT:

• reveal the abarth's location or identity
• don't limit yourself on levels of crazy
• don't take the party's feelings into consideration
• be agreeable to alternatives to "The Truth"
• don't hold anything sacred while being in character
  • example: accuse dragons of being not good, liars, and suppress the truth
  • no respect for village heiarchy. fuck the chieftan, guards, et al. I have the knowledge, and everything else is lesser to that knowledge

• for Cody the dwarf: you haven't seen the truth depths of the earth
• Steve the elf: as he found the tainted fish, he might be the most 'receptive' to my truth
  • if you give me fish, i give more info... while devouring the tainted fish RAW

  • he might not recall his name, but indicate he's the servant of the true gods
• what are the old gods?
  • they will devour everything and bring the stars to the earth
• are you okay? what's wrong with you?
  • nothing wrong with me, you're the non-believers! you don't know the TRUTH

OOC:

there's an underground resevoir where an abarith lives. it gives off a goo that translates the abolith's will through the infected fish

he cant quite describe what he sees in his dreams. the abolith lets him see what he desires. comfort, acceptance, riches, fame. the great catch is being dangled like a carrot for benji if he serves by telling these prophacies in his dream he perceives a siren who sings him songs. the siren of the deep who serves the old gods
